The Inos Grenadier Quartermaster is a rugged pickup truck that stands out in a world of soft SUVs. With a BMW six-cylinder engine under the hood, it may not be the quickest, but it sure looks tough. Priced around $90,000, this French-built truck is longer than its SUV sibling, offering a 5-ft bed and four-wheel drive for off-road adventures. However, the hefty price tag is partly due to the infamous chicken tax, adding a unique challenge for the manufacturer.
The exterior of the Quartermaster is a throwback to old-school utility vehicles, with boxy styling reminiscent of classic Land Rovers. Unique badging featuring a combination of British and German flags adds a touch of heritage to this modern truck. While the bed may lack some typical accessories found in American pickups, it does come with a spare tire that cleverly hides a storage compartment. With impressive capabilities like a ground clearance of 10.3 in and a towing capacity exceeding 7700 lb, the Quartermaster is ready to tackle rugged terrain with ease.
Inside, the Quartermaster's interior is a blend of toughness and utility, featuring a plethora of old-school buttons and dials. The center control stack is filled with physical controls for climate settings, audio volume, and even hazard lights placed dramatically for easy access. Additional controls on the roof panel offer even more functionality, including off-road modes and auxiliary lighting options. Despite its quirks, the Inos Grenadier Quartermaster promises a unique driving experience that sets it apart from the crowd of modern trucks.
