In this thrilling episode from the folks at throtl, we witness the jaw-dropping transformation of an abandoned Mercedes into a roaring beast. Sporting a 5.2 L Ford Voodoo crate engine, this Benz faced a rough start due to paper towels clogging the intake runners. With the help of Magnaflow, a custom exhaust system featuring unique DTM tips was expertly installed, adding a touch of flair to the already quirky vehicle. The team's attention to detail and commitment to quality shone through as they meticulously crafted the exhaust system, ensuring a perfect fit and an impressive sound.
But the excitement didn't stop there. The Mercedes received a widebody kit, forged HRE wheels, and a surprise addition, elevating its appearance to a whole new level. The widebody kit, complete with front fenders, side skirts, and a rear arch, paid homage to the old DTM style, adding a touch of nostalgia to the modern rebuild. With the addition of a sleek AMG-style duct tail spoiler and a new set of HR wheels wrapped in Falcon tires, the Mercedes was ready to unleash its power on the road.
As the team fine-tuned the interior with upgrades like rear seats and a stereo system, the exterior received a stunning wrap in Nosec matte shadow gray, completing the cohesive look of the Mercedes. The car's performance was put to the test on the dyno, where it delivered an impressive 418 wheel horsepower, setting the stage for an exhilarating burnout session. With a deafening roar and billowing smoke, the Mercedes showcased its newfound power and style, leaving a lasting impression on all who witnessed its transformation.
