In this episode of Larry Chen's channel, we're introduced to a rather peculiar creation: a 1996 Nissan Micra K11 that has been transformed into a true beast. Now, you may be wondering how on earth this tiny little car ended up becoming such a monster. Well, it all started as a joke, a laugh over a few beers. But as fate would have it, the joke turned into a serious project, with the team deciding to make this little Micra go fast. And boy, did they succeed.
The original engine in the Micra was a standard CG13 motor, nothing to write home about. However, a simple fuel pump replacement led to a series of modifications that spiraled out of control. The team turbocharged the factory motor and it just kept getting bigger and more powerful. The result? A lightweight car with a whopping 550 horsepower at the wheels. That's right, this tiny Micra is a true powerhouse.
But what about the rest of the car? Well, the team didn't hold back there either. They made custom modifications to the front suspension, fitting in Pulsar gear to handle the increased power. They even had to machine the factory knuckles to make it all work. And let's not forget about the brakes and tires. They had to get creative to fit them on this small car, but they made it happen.
Despite its fierce appearance, this Micra is still street-legal and even has a functioning interior with a radio and speakers. It's a true sleeper, capable of surprising anyone who underestimates it. The team built this car on a budget, proving that you don't need deep pockets to create something truly special. So, if you ever come across this little red Micra on the road, don't be fooled by its size. It's a force to be reckoned with.
